A man named Oedipus is cursed with a prophecy. He has no choice but to stand up and greet his fate.

And here's the jist: A little baby named Oedipus is born with an ominous prophecy: He will kill his father and marry his mother. His parents abandon by giving him to a shepherd. The shepherd brings to his childless king, and they raise him as their prince. He always feels a slight unsettling in him, so he travels to an oracle who gives him the prophecy. He mistakenly thinks it it connected with his adoptive parents, so he travels to the city where his real parents live. On the way, he kills a man who slaps him. When he enters the city, he defeats a talking sphynx and is hailed a king because their king just died. He marries the city's queen and live a wonderful life for ten years. During the worst day of his life, he realizes he has killed his father, and married his mother. His wife/ mother commits suicide and he gouges his eyes out and lives as a loner.
